The opening round of the Women’s Munster Senior Conferences kicked off at the weekend with wins for U.L. Bohemian and Kerry in Conference 1, while both games in Conference 2 were cancelled.

The opening round of the Women’s Munster Senior Conferences kicked off at the weekend with wins for U.L. Bohemian and Kerry in Conference 1, while both games in Conference 2 were cancelled.

In Conference 1: U.L. Bohemian proved too strong for a Shannon-LIT combination running out 57-0 winners. Aoife Corey scored three tries for the winners, Laura O’Mahony two and Niamh Kavanagh, Ciara O’Halloran, Louise Galvin, and Sarah O’Gorman got one each. Niamh Kavanagh kicked six conversions.

In the other game in this Conference, Kerry defeated Ballincollig 24-5. Méabh McElligott scored two tries for Kerry and Laoise O’Driscoll added a try and three penalties. Christine O’Sullivan scored a first half try for Ballincollig.
