Club Notes | St. Anne’s NS Represent Charleville At Aldi Play Rugby Event

There was great excitement in St. Anne’s National School last month as the Charleville natives were selected to attend the Aldi Play Rugby Festival.

The Sixth Class side have been working with Charleville CCRO, Mike Moran, throughout school year and made the trip to the capital to take part in the festival on the hallowed turf of the Aviva Stadium.

The side played four games against St Brides NS Ballintubber, Camcloon NS, Ashbourne Community NS and Gaelscoil Lorgan, Castleblaney.

While at the event the students also got the chance to tour the dressing rooms, get their picture with the Triple Crown and meet Paul O’Connell, Josh Van der Flier and most importantly Kevin The Carrot.

A great day was had by all with some fantastic rugby being on display.
