Head Coach Andrew Browne has named the Ireland Men’s U20s Match Day Squad, sponsored by PwC, for Thursday’s World Rugby Junior World Championship encounter against Argentina at the Avchala Stadium in Tbilisi (Kick-off 12.30pm Irish time/3.30pm local time).
Ireland return to action in Georgia for a crucial Pool C clash against Argentina, with Browne making four changes to his starting team as backs Jack Deegan and Tom Wood come into the backline and Joe Finn and Alex Lautsou start in the pack.
Noah Byrne, Charlie Molony and Daniel Ryan are named in an unchanged back three, with Deegan partnering James O’Leary in midfield. Wood starts at out-half in a half-back pairing alongside his Munster team-mate Christopher Barrett.
Sami Bishti captains the side from tighthead prop, packing down alongside Max Doyle and Rian Handley in the front row. Finn and Donnacha McGuire start in the second row, with Josh Neill, Lautsou and Diarmaid O’Connell completing the back row.
Among the replacements, Duinn Maguire, Adam Cooper and Blake McClean provide front row cover, with Dylan McNeice, Ben Blaney, James O’Dwyer, Charlie O’Shea and Rob Carney completing the Match Day 23.
Thursday’s match is live on Premier Sports and RugbyPass TV.
