Young Referee Programme Introduces Students To Match Officiating

The Munster Association of Referees, in conjunction with the IRFU, recently introduced a Young Referee Programme to Presentation Brothers College, Cork.

The pilot course is aimed at providing refereeing opportunities to students who are interested in becoming match officials within their schools.

PBC’s Marc Byrne, Daniel Philpott Vendrels and Adam Lahique participated in the programme, which was run by IRFU Referee Development Manager Munster, Chris Harrington.

All three students are trial members of the Munster Association of Referees and will attend relevant educational workshops.
