Reward Your Volunteers

Reward Your Volunteers

Munster Rugby is pleased to announce the launch of the Right Price Tiles Volunteer Recognition Programme for the 2008-09 season.

The scheme is now into its fourth year and we would like to thank Mr Chris Dineen, Managing Director of Right Price Tiles for his ongoing support. The programme is aimed at giving Clubs and Schools the opportunity to acknowledge the significant contribution made by individuals who have developed, promoted and/or advanced the sport of Rugby in their local community and in the province.

Volunteers are the lifeblood of every sport and leisure organisation in Ireland. They contribute time and energy year after year to assist in the development of sport and leisure activities. Without these people our clubs and organisations would fail to function effectively. Munster Rugby identifies the need to recognise and reward those individuals that have devoted their time by honouring them with a recognition programme.

The programme will reward and acknowledge the efforts of volunteers who devote countless hours week in week out, year after year to provide a safe and enjoyable environment at the grass roots of the game. From the kitchen worker to the weekend linesman to the parents that manage under-age sides, it is up to you to nominate worthy contributors.

The programme will run from November 2008 to April 2009 with a reward scheme consisting of individual "Volunteer of the Month" awards.  The Volunteer Recognition programme is open to any person currently associated with domestic rugby in Munster, in a non-paid capacity at a club, school, college, university or associated affiliate of Munster Branch IRFU.
