Report | Munster U18 Girls Continue Winning Ways With Ulster Triumph

Munster 29 – 3 Ulster

Damien Hicks’ side continued their winning ways this morning as they defeated Ulster 29-3 in the first game of today’s double-header in Virgin Media Park.

The home side got scoring underway early on in the half as winger, Emer Purtill, stepped two players to run in under the posts. Eden Waters added the extras.

The home side were in again just seven minutes later as out half Waters broke on the wing to touch down and convert her own score.

Ulster got themselves on the board in the final stages of the half as out half Joy Lemon kicked a penalty.

Heading into the sheds at the whistle the home side had built a comfortable 14-3 lead.

The home side continued to build the lead throughout the second half.

Emer Purtill was once again on the ball early on in the second half as she broke the line and went the length of the pitch with Waters conversion just clipping the posts and going wide.

Making up for her mistake Waters crossed the white wash herself for her second try of the game just 1o minutes later.

The final score of the game went to Sadhbh Whelan who crashed over in the final play of the game to bring the final score to 29-3.
