Munster 62 – 0 Ulster

Matt Brown’s side lodged their second bonus point win of the series as they defeated Ulster 62-0 in Virgin Media Park.

UL Bohemian’s, Chisom Ugwueru, got scoring underway in just the eight minute as she stepped three defenders to touch down in the corner. Breen added the extras with the conversion that followed.

Clodagh O’Halloran touched down with a try of her own just four minutes later as she picked off the back of the ruck and burrowed across the line.

Now in the driving seat Munster shied away from nothing as they went from strength to strength in set piece. As the clocked ticked towards the 20 minute mark Munster turned on the after burners and turned over possession at an Ulster scrum. Emily lane sent the ball wide to Ugwueru only to have her pulled down just short of the line. Emily Lane was once again on the ball as she recycled it out to the hands of last week’s player of the match, Beth Buttimer, as she touched down.

Breen converted to bring the score to 19-0 with 21 minutes on the clock.

Buttimer was over again just nine minutes later as she twisted her way through contact to touch down with Breen once again adding the extras.

Clodagh O’Halloran put the first half to bed as she crossed over for her second just before the whistle to bring the score to 31-0 heading into the sheds.

Munster were out of the blocks fast once again in the second half as winger Katie Corrigan touched down in the 44th minute.

Emily Lane was next to touch down after a fantastic line break from Caitriona Finn with the replacement also converting the score.

Captain, Aoife Corey, was next to add points on the board as Lucia Linn broke the line to send her running in under the posts. Finn added the extras.

Alana McInerney was next to add her name to the score sheet as she crashed over in the 56th minute, just three minutes after fellow UL Bohemian clubmate, Aoife Corey.

As the clock struck 80 the side had one more play up their sleeve as they moved the ball wide and into the hands of debutant Andrea Murphy who ran in.

This brought the final score to 62-0 in a game that saw Clodagh O’Halloran named Player Of The Match.
