Munster Rugby Annual London Dinner
Munster Rugby Annual London Dinner
Munster Rugby’s Annual London Dinner celebrates the strong connection between the province and its supporters in London, while raising vital funds to support the club’s continued development and growth.
The event brings together more than 250 Munster, Irish and sports supporters each year, with past and present Munster players, both male and female, joining guests for an evening celebrating the province and its people.
A highlight of the evening is the presentation of the Richard Harris Patron’s Award, which recognises an individual who embodies Munster Rugby’s core values of Community, Integrity, Ambition and Passion.
The 2026 recipient was An Taoiseach Micheál Martin, a lifelong Munster supporter who grew up in Turner’s Cross, close to Virgin Media Park. A passionate supporter of sport, Micheál has regularly been part of the Red Army at both Thomond Park and Virgin Media Park.
Last season, he officially opened Munster Rugby’s new €7.3 million Cork Centre of Excellence at Virgin Media Park. The facility represents Munster Rugby’s second-largest capital project and will support the development of the grassroots game while providing facilities for the wider local community.
The Richard Harris Award honours the legacy of Limerick-born actor and lifelong rugby supporter Richard Harris, who represented Munster at Schools and U20s level. Previous recipients include the Harris Family, JP McManus, Daniel Tierney, Anthony Foley, Sir Niall FitzGerald, Garret Fitzgerald, John Field, Declan Kidney, Keith Wood and Doug Howlett.
The Annual London Dinner provides an opportunity for the Munster family in London to come together, celebrate the province’s heritage and values, and support its future development.
