Nenagh Ormond required extra time to book their place in next week’s Bank of Ireland Munster Junior Cup Final against Cork Constitution in Dooradoyle, as both Kinsale and Tralee won their respective Junior Cup competitions.

A long season told on Kilfeacle as they suffered defeat at home to Nenagh Ormond in the semi-final of the Munster Junior Cup 43-24 after extra time. Nenagh led 17-10 at half time, but a strong second half saw Kilfeacle level the tie 24-24 after eighty minutes. Robbie Tynan, Charlie O’Doherty, Tom Crofts, Ivan Struzia and two from Fionn Higgins were the Nenagh try scorers. O’Doherty kicked five conversions and two penalties. Jacques van Wyngaardt, Luke Heuston and Bryan McLaughlin scored tries for Kilfeacle and Heuston converted all three tries.

Kinsale Won the Junior Clubs Challenge Shield with a narrow 24-21 win over Carrick-on-Suir in the Final at Virgin Media Park. Erhan Farley, Conall Gilleran, Michael Kennedy and Mark O’Connell scored tries for Kinsale and Dylan Lacey kicked two conversions. Jack Boylan replied with two tries for Carrick and Kieran Kinsella one. Fionn Barry converted all three tries.

Tralee won the Martin O’Sullivan Cup for the first time, defeating local rival Killarney 38-31 in the decider at Virgin Media Park. Gavin Peevers, Guilherme Ventura, Mikey Lyne, Ben Glavin and Leon Tanfin scored tries for Tralee. Stephen Turner kicked five conversions and a penalty. Tomas Clifford, Harry Kelly, Alex O’Leary, Colin McCarthy and Matt McAuliffe replied with tries for Killarney. Donnchadh Grealy kicked two conversions and Ciaran O’Brien one.
