The Munster U18 Girls team to face Leinster on Thursday afternoon (KO 2.15pm) in the Interprovincial Series has been named by Head Coach Ken Imbusch.

There are three changes to the starting XV which lost 39-19 to Connacht at the IRFU’s High Performance Centre on Sunday.

Bantry Bay’s Lily Morris comes into the pack at loosehead prop in what is the only change to the forwards from Sunday’s game.

In the backs, Dolphin’s Megan Crilly comes into the side at out-half with Caitriona Finn moving to outside centre. The other change sees Killorglin and Killarney’s Fia Whelan start at full-back.

The side also includes Beth Buttimer and Rebecca Rogers who both played for Ireland during last year’s U18 Six Nations Festival. Buttimer and Finn were also involved for Ireland during last year’s Rugby Europe U18 Women’s 7s Championships in Prague.

These interprovincial fixtures will act as preparation for the upcoming U18 Women’s Six Nations Festival which will take place in April.

29 players across 14 clubs have been selected for Munster’s overall squad which you can find here.

Munster Women’s Development Officer Ken Imbusch is Head Coach while Assistant Coaches include Willie Shubart, Brian O’Dowd and Emmett O’Callaghan with Rosemary Dillon the Team Manager.
