Munster U18 Clubs Squad Announced To Take On Irish Exiles

Munster U18 Head Coach Noel O’Meara has named his squad to take on the Irish Exiles this Sunday, 13th August at The Oratory in Reading, London in a pre Interprovicial warm up match, ko 12pm.

The selected squad comprise of 23 players representing clubs from all six Munster counties.

Waterpark’s out-half Ben Daly and back row Evan Murphy from Nenagh Ormond, who were both part of the Munster Clubs winning side last season, have been selected and their Interprovincial experience will surely be a significant advantage.

Murphy also holds Ireland caps at Under 18 level along with hooker Paidi McCarthy from Bantry Bay RFC, who will also travel this Sunday.

Winger David McNamara, who was part of the Ennis side that claimed the Bank of Ireland Munster U18 Clubs title last season has also been selected.

Also included is Harry Jephson who captained Waterpark to claim the Bank of Ireland Munster Under 16 Clubs title two season’s ago.

The Munster 18 Clubs will kick off their campaign on Saturday, 9th September in a home fixture to Connacht as they set out to defend their title.

They host Ulster in their second challenge before travelling to Donnybrook to take on Leinster in their final interprovincial fixture.
