Munster Rugby Summer Camp Roundup

A view of the Munster Rugby Summer Camp in Old Crescent RFC

It has been a busy summer for our development staff as the Munster Rugby Summer Camps, proudly supported by HelloFresh, returned for 2026 taking place in 23 venues throughout the province.

This year saw over 1350 children take part in our camps throughout the summer, with an additional 650 attending our School Of Excellence, Excellence Camps and Inclusion Camps.

Speaking about this year’s camps, Participation Programmes Coordinator, Ray Gadsden said:

“It was another highly successful summer camp programme for us this year as we welcomed over 1350 kids to camps in 23 locations across the province.

“We hope the players that attended enjoyed it, made new friends and picked up a new skill or two along the way.

“I would like to thank our summer camp staff that helped with the smooth running of the camps throughout the summer and also our sponsors, HelloFresh, for their support once again this season.

“We can’t wait to see everyone again next summer!”

This year saw Kerry club, Listowel RFC, host a camp for the very first time as 30+ kids descended on Listowel Town Park for a week of rugby and fun in the sun.

We caught up with camp manager, Kenneth McNamara, and Listowel RFC President, Dave Fitzgibbon, to learn more about the camp and the positive impact that it will have on the club.
