Garryowen and Cork Constitution lock horns in the Bank of Ireland Munster Senior Challenge Cup Final at Thomond Park tomorrow, Saturday 5 January, kick-off 2pm.

The new year clash between the two sides will mark the 128th Munster Senior Challenge Cup final as Garryowen and Cork Constitution both lead the overall honours list.

There are 11 titles between the two clubs with holders Garryowen having won the competition 39 times compared to Cork Constitution’s 28 trophy lifts.

Garryowen and Cork Con have won the last seven competitions between them with the Temple Hill club’s five-in-a-row positioned in between the Light Blues last two successes in 2012 and 2018.

Ticket Information

  • Tickets for this game will be available in the ticket hut at the East side of the stadium for €10.

Event Information

  • Stadium gates will open at 1pm with the match scheduled for a 2pm kick-off.
  • The West Stand will be closed and all general public access will be via the East Stand.
  • Match programmes will be on sale at the ticket hut, costing €2.
  • The Thomond Suite Bar will be open from 1pm. Ruck & Maul Shops will offer tea, coffee and a variety of confectionary.

Stadium Information

  • The East Stand and Terrace will be open. All patrons will be seated in the East Stand only.
  • Patrons are asked to help the stewards by adhering to their instructions in order to keep everyone safe.

Parking

  • There is limited public parking available at the stadium. There is no parking in the residential areas surrounding it.
  • Gardaí will be on duty to ensure that cars are not parked in residential areas. Ticketing will be in operation.
  • People are encouraged to walk, car pool or take any transport means that will reduce congestion and parking difficulties.

  • Mostly cloudy with temperatures between 7-10 degrees.
