Double-Header For Schools Cup Finals

A St Patrick’s Day date in Limerick await both Senior and Junior Cup finalists.

Thomond Park will be the venue on March 17th, as both the Munster Schools Senior and Junior Cups reach their conclusion for the 2016-17 season.

With the semi-finals throwing up Cork and Limerick derbies in both semis, either Ardscoil Rís or Glenstal Abbey in the Senior, and Crescent or Castletroy in the Junior, will enjoy the 'home' advantage this year on the banks of the Shannon.

It will undoubedtly be an occasion to savour, with plenty of colour and atmosphere as per usual, and offers a fantastic day's rugby on St Patrick's Day.

Next week will see the Senior semi-finals decide who will take their place in the showdown, with both games, and the Senior Cup final, being shown live on eir Sports.

Clayton Hotels Munster Schools Cup finals:

Junior Cup Final – PBC or CBC v Castletroy College or Crescent College – 2pm

Senior Cup Final – PBC or Bandon Grammar v Ardscoil Rís or Glenstal Abbey – 4pm – Game to be televised by live on EIR Sport.

The finals of both Senior and Junior competitions will be held on St Patrick's Day – Friday, March 17.

In the event of a draw in one or both of the junior semi-finals, the final will be played on the week beginning the 20^th of March.

Presentation Brothers College v Christian Brothers College – Wednesday 8th March, Irish Independent Park, 2pm.
