Club Notes | Referees To Hold Charity Cycle For Alzheimer’s Society of Ireland

A team of referees from across the province are saddling up to take on the 100Km cycle from Virgin Media Park to Thomond Park this Saturday, May 16th, to raise vital funds and awareness for the Alzheimer’s Society of Ireland.

The team of 20 will begin their journey in Sundays Well RFC before travelling to Mallow RFC, Charleville RFC, Garryowen FC and finally Thomond Park where they will arrive just in time for kick off.

Speaking about the challenge event organiser, Garrett McCabe, said:

“We’re excited and proud to bring the Munster rugby community together for a great cause and to support the Alzheimer’s Society of Ireland. Over 100km will test body and spirit but, in true rugby spirit, we’ll show grit and determination all the way to the try line! ”
