Clayton Hotels Munster Schools Senior Cup Quarter-Final Draw

The draw for the Clayton Hotels Munster Schools Senior Cup quarter-final took place at Clanwilliam FC yesterday afternoon, following the final game of the play-off round between Rockwell College and Castletroy College.

Holders PBC are drawn away to Ardscoil Rís following their first round victory over Castletroy College, while Ardscoil overcame St Munchin’s in their play-off round to reach the quarter-final stage.

CBC, who also feature in the Schools Junior Cup quarter-final draw, will host St Clement’s after pushing past Ardscoil Rís. St Clement’s received a BYE into the quarter-finals.

Crescent College and Bandon Grammar have secured home ties and will take on Rockwell College and Glenstal Abbey respectively.

Crescent produced an impressive first round performance against St Clement’s to secure their spot and Bandon edged out St Munchin’s.

Rockwell booked their place in the quarter-final with victory over Castletroy College in their play-off encounter, having lost out to Glenstal Abbey in the first round of the competition.

PBC v Ardscoil Rís, Wednesday 7 February, Irish Independent Park, 2pm

CBC v St Clement’s College, Wednesday 7 February, Cork Constitution, 2pm

Crescent College v Rockwell College, Wednesday 7 February, Rosbrien (Old Crescent RFC)

Bandon Grammar v Glenstal Abbey, Thursday 8 February, Mardyke (UCC – Cork)

The semi-finals of the Junior Cup will begin on the week of February 19 and the semi-finals of the Senior Cup will be played on the week beginning February 26.

The final of the Junior Cup will take place on the week beginning March 5 with the Senior Cup final on Sunday, March 18.
