240 Players Attend 1st Year Emerging Schools Blitz Day

Players from St Caimin's Community School Shannon at 1st Year Emerging Schools blitz held in UL last week.
Participation events are back up and running in the province with over 240 1st year players attending an Emerging Schools Blitz Day in UL last week.
10 schools took part on the day with each school bringing 20-30 players each. The schools which took part were St Caimin’s Community School Shannon, Salesian Secondary College, Villiers, Thomond Community College, Scoil Pól, St Joseph’s CBS Nenagh, John The Baptists Community School Hospital, Kanturk Combined Schools and Ennis Community College.
It was a hugely successful day with all schools playing at least four matches.
A Munster Rugby S&C coach was also in attendance to conduct warm-ups and advise on sprinting technique and functional movement exercises to the players.
The URC trophy was also in attendance and the players had the opportunity to get their photo taken with it.
