State Of Play | Munster Schools Boys Junior And Senior Cups

The Munster Schools Boys Junior Cup and Pinergy Munster Schools Boys Senior Cup are now entering their final week of group stage action with just three games left to be played.

In the Junior Cup currently current title holders Presentation Brothers College sit in the top spot of Group A, just one point ahead of Castletroy College, having won all three of their games.

Castletroy College are in second on 14 points and having won three our of their four games.

Bandon Grammar are in third on 11 points. They have won two of their games and lost one with three bonus points.

Ardscoil Rís are fourth on five points having lost all three of their games while Glenstal Abbey round out the group with just a single losing bonus point from the three games they have played.

The remaining fixtures in this competition are Ardscoil Rís v Glenstal Abbey and PBC v Bandon Grammar on the 29th of November.

In Group B Munster’s Club Select Programme have taken the top spot with four wins from four and the additional four bonus points.

Rockwell College are eight points behind the side as they take second place with three wins and a loss.

St Munchins are in third and are one point behind Rockwell College with two wins and two losses to their name.

Cork’s Christian Brothers College sit in fourth with four points separating themselves and Munchins.

Crescent Comprehensive prop up the table in fifth with three points having lost all four of their games.

The Munster Club Select Player programme will not progress to the knockout rounds of the competition meaning that anyone who finishes below them jumps up one place.

In the Pinergy Munster Schools Boys Senior Cup current champions Presentation Brothers College currently sit at the top of Group A with maximum points from their three games.

Castletroy College sit just behind them on 13 points with three wins and a loss.

Rockwell College are third and just three points behind Castletroy.

St Munchins are in fourth with six points to their name from their one win and three losses.

Glenstal Abbey wrap up the table and are in fifth with two points.

There is one game left in the Pinergy Munster Schools Boys Senior Cup with Glenstal Abbey taking on PBC on the 30th of November.

In Group B Christan Brothers College and Crescent College Comprehensive currently sit as joint leaders of the group on 15 points a piece.

Ardscoil Rís are in second on seven points.

Munster’s Club Select Player programme are in third on six points with one win and two losses to their names while Bandon Grammar props up the table in fourth with four points.

Once all remaining fixtures are completed in both junior and senior cups there will then be a draw between all teams (excluding the Munster Club Select Player programme) to determine the matchups for the knock out rounds.
