Report | Leinster Prove To Be Too Strong For McNulty’s U18 Schools

A flying start wasn’t enough for Aiden McNulty’s U18 Boys Schools as they were defeated by Leinster 12-33 in Virgin Media Park.

Munster were out of the blocks fast as winger Adam Bennett touched down in the corner after 21 minutes of end-to-end action.

But Leinster were quick with their response as Myles Carroll ran in as the clock ticked past the half hour mark. Matt McKenna converted to bring the score to 5-7 heading into the sheds at half time.

Leinster were first out of the blocks in the second half as they touched down for a well worked try in the 42^nd minute.

Munster weren’t deterred as they sent a driving maul towards the tryline just five minutes later, allowing hooker Leo Carman to touch down. Matthew McCarthy converted to bring the score to 12-14.

But it was Leinster’s day as they crossed the whitewash a further three times before the final whistle as Matias Quaglia, Saul Brewster and Victor Chauvire all touched down with Matt McKenna adding two conversions to bring the final score to 12-33.
