Cork Constitution Obtain Bank Of Ireland Munster Junior Cup

Holders Cork Constitution retained their Bank of Ireland Munster Junior Cup title with a convincing win over Nenagh Ormond at Dooradoyle with a 38-20 victory.
Charlie O’Doherty gave Nenagh an early lead with a penalty and a try by Conor O’Shaughnessy made it 8-0 to the Tipperary side.
A yellow card saw Nenagh reduced to 14 and Con took advantage with a try by Johnny Murphy to make it 8-5.
Further tries by Rob Hedderman and Jacob Sheahan, both converted by Murphy made it 19-8 for the holders at half time.
Cork Constitution extended their advantage with a try early in the second half with a try from Billy Scannell and Murphy converted,
Gavin O’Riordan made it 31-8 with his side’s fifth try.
Murphy made it 38-8 with his second try and he also added the extras.
Nenagh substitute Tom Crofts made his mark with two tries and O’Doherty converted both to make it 38-20, but Con held out for their 21st title.
