PBC’s O’Callaghan Wins February Moment Of The Month

Darragh O’Callaghan’s try for PBC against Ardscoil Rís in the quarter-final of the Clayton Hotels Munster Schools Senior Cup has won February’s Moment of the Month competition.

The moment secured 46% of the public vote with Glenstal Abbey’s Andrew Hogan in second place with 39% for his try against Bandon Grammar as Munster Academy player Liam Coombes took third place for his score against Wild Titans.

The winning try from PBC’s O’Callaghan was all about the back row as flanker Alex Kendellen made the initial break after collecting an Ardscoil clearance before offloading for no.8 David Hyland to streak away and O’Callaghan was on his shoulder to take the pass and score under the posts.

Everyone that voted was due to enter a draw for two tickets to Munster v Scarlets at Thomond Park this Saturday, March 24, at 5.30pm with Hannah O’Brien drawn as the winner.

Each month throughout the season, we give supporters the opportunity to vote for your Munster Moment of the Month.

Our clubs, schools and supporters are all encouraged to enter their favourite rugby moment, whether it be on or off the pitch, into our Moment of the Month competition. It may be a fantastic team or individual try, a special moment from the training ground, or a memorable highlight from a rugby event.

We then select the three best moments and put it out to a public vote. You can also win prizes simply by voting for your favourite!

You don’t need a state-of-the-art camera, your video can be filmed on a decent camera phone.

The video needs to be shot in landscape format and the original file must be sent via wetransfer to andrewphayer@munsterrugby.ie.
