Munster Support #Livelife Walk 2014

Thomond Park is the final destination for the upcoming charity walk organised by the Donal Walsh #Livelife Foundation.

The walk will start at the Aviva Stadium on Sunday the 2nd of February and finish six days later in Limerick on Saturday the 8th of February.

“We are taking a week out to bring Donal’s #Livelife message from the Ireland v Scotland game at the Aviva Stadium to the Munster v Cardiff Blues game in Thomond Park, stopping along the way to talk with schools and rugby clubs,” explained Donal’s father Fionnbar.

The walk will take in overnight stays in Dublin, Naas, Kildare, Portlaoise, Roscrea and Nenagh where local rugby clubs will accommodate the walkers by giving them shelter. There are 50 Transition year students involved in the project from Donal’s own CBS The Green & Mercy Mounthawk schools in Tralee.

Munster Rugby and the IRFU have given their full support to this project. Joe Murphy, Hon. Secretary of Munster Rugby, commented: “Donal was both a Kerryman and a Munster Man at heart but the message he gave was a global one so we are delighted to join in continuing the conversation that this young man started.”

The Donal Walsh #Livelife Walk takes place between the 2nd and 8th of February 2014 with collections in each of the towns along the route daily.

The first collection day will be around the Aviva Stadium on Sunday 2nd of February and the final Collection day around Thomond Park on Saturday 8th of February.
