All Accounted For

Munster began their preparations for Saturday’s crucial Magners League game against Leinster with a full squad training session at the Cork Institute of Technology this morning.

All the principals were involved in the training session this morning including Paul Warwick who had been in Australia with family.

Damien Varley who limped out of the game against Cardiff Blues is fully recovered and took a full part in the training session as did Denis Hurley who has fully recovered from a knee injury.

Munster reporting no new injury concerns except for Dave Foley who injured his shoulder in a club game on Saturday and will be out of action for 3 to 4 weeks.

Tom Gleeson was also present in CIT but took no part as he recovers from a hernia operation but is expected to be in consideration for the Scarlets in a fortnight’s time.

In other injury news Tomas O’Leary (eye) will see a specialist later this week but is expected to be in the frame for the Scarlet’s game also while Jerry Flannery (calf) undergoes a surgical procedure in Santry this week after which medics will further assess his injury. Ian Dowling (hip) will see a specialist again early next month and Barry Murphy (foot) has two more weeks of rehab to undergo before he can return to training.

Munster will name an extended squad tomorrow before naming the finalised side at midday on Friday.
