From Limerick, Mark Melbourne went to secondary school in Rockwell College. He played Irish 19, Munster and Irish 21s and made his Munster senior debut in the Magners League in March 2006.

Where and when did you first play rugby:   U16 for Clonmel RFC
Biggest influence on career:  Family
Best career advice you were given:   Enjoy it.
What you like Most/Least about being a rugby player:   Getting paid to do something you love/Geting dropped.
Other sports that you played:   Football, Golf
Best rugby memory:  Beating England in the 19s World Cup, it was level at full time and it went down to kicks at goal from the 22, We won 5-2
Rugby Player you admire most:  Jonah Lomu
Rugby team you admire most: All Blacks
Sporting event you would most like to attend:  UFC championship fight.
Plans for life after rugby:  Civil Engineer
Advice you would give to aspiring pro rugby player:  Train hard, play hard, and enjoy yourself
Three people you would invite to dinner and why:  Floyd Mayweather because he would be entertaining,Christy Moore for the session after and Phil Ivy for a game of poker later.
