Win For Colaiste Ide & Josef In Munster School 7’s

The final round in the Munster Girls School 7’s for 1st and 2nd year students finished in style at Tralee RFC this week.

With the arrival of the 6 Nations trophy an extra element of excitement was added to the day as did the presence of Grand Slam player Nora Stapleton and Ireland 7’s players Siobhan Barrett and Christine Arthurs.

The ladies were inundated with questions from the girls about the life of an international athlete as the future continues to look bright for girls and women’s rugby throughout the country.

There was plenty of excellent rugby played on the day with the fine dry weather lending itself to the matches perfectly.

Once all competitive rounds were completed, the final was contested between Colaiste Ide & Josef and Colaiste Ide Daingean.

Abbeyfeale’s Colaiste Ide & Josef held out in a well contested and spirited match and will go on to visit Thomond Park to take part in a training session with the Ireland Women’s 7’s squad and Munster No 8 James Coughlan.
