West Munster Cadets & RDS Information Seminar

Munster Rugby recently ran a Player and Parent Information Evening for the West Munster Cadet and Regional Development Squads at Tralee IT.

Ray Gadsden, Community Rugby Officer in the West Munster area presented at the seminar to over 120 players and parents, assisted by strength & conditioning and squad coaches.

Cadet and Regional Development Squad players are currently preparing for their upcoming six week summer programme commencing on the first week of July.

Preparations will include on pitch sessions and strength and conditioning training for both squads every Monday and Thursday.

Parents were provided with information regarding dates, venues and content for the players during the summer programme followed by an open question and answers forum.

The Cadets will take part in a series of challenge matches post summer programme while the Regional Development Squad will compete in a round robin series against their North, East and South counterparts commencing in late August.

An average of 40 to 45 players from all four Regional Development Squads will be selected on a Munster U17 panel who will compete in provincial friendlies ahead of next season’s Munster U18 Clubs selection process.
