A late rally by Nenagh Ormond was not enough to book their place in the Bateman Cup Final, as Kilfeacle take over top spot in the Munster Junior League.

Trailing 22-7 at half time at home to Clontarf, a late rally by Nenagh was not enough at they lost 34-19. John O’Flaherty, John Brislane, Niall O’Gorman, Kevin O’Flaherty and Robbie Tynan scored tries for Nenagh and Conor McMahon kicked two conversions.

In the Women’s All Ireland League, leaders Galwegians made it five bonus point wins from five after their 39-0 home win over Ennis.

U.L. Bohemian remain in second place a point behind the Connacht side after their 16 try mauling of Coke, as they ran out 98-0 home winners. Aoibh O’Flynn and Aoife Corey each scored three tries, Kate Flannery, Chloe Pearce, and Alana McInerney got two apiece with Anais Jubin, Lucia Linn, Emma Dunican and Caitriona Finn also scored tries. Finn kicked nine conversions.

Ballincollig put in a terrific performance despite losing at home to Railway Union 31-19. Grace Kingston (2) and Aoife Flemming were Ballincollig’s try scorers and Emma Connolly kicked two conversions.

In Division 1 of the Munster Junior League, a late try by Adam Farrelly secured Kilfeacle a 27-17 bonus point win against Old Christians at Rathcooney, to move them into top spot. Bob Purcell and Kealan O’Connor also scored tries for the Tipperary side, who were also awarded a penalty try. Luke Heuston kicked a conversion and a penalty. Old Christians replied with tries from Cian Snith and Daniel Kelleher, with Sam Haberlin converting both and also added a penalty.

Clonakilty and Mallow share second spot a point behind the leaders. Clonakilty travelled to Thurles and won 21-16 with tries from Ciaran McCarthy, Matt Foster and Tobi Olivier. Niall Barrett kicked two penalties. Thurles replied with a try from Paddy McGrath and James Maher added three penalties and a conversion.

Mallow had a 28-15 bonus point home win against bottom side Muskerry. Jimmy Glynn, Barry Taylor, Dylan Walsh and Sam Glynn scored tries for Mallow. Riley Harrison converted all four tries. Rob Cahill and Julian Power replied with tries for Muskerry and Cahill added a conversion and a penalty.

Kanturk moved up to fourth place, three points behind the leaders after their 24-18 home win against Bandon. Eanna O’Mahony scored two tries for the winners and Sean O’Brien and James Moylan got one each. Paul O’Keeffe kicked two conversions. Gearoid O’Leary scored two tries for Bandon and Harry Hall one, with Dylan Barr adding a penalty.

Clanwilliam picked up their first win of the campaign with a 38-27 away win at Newcastle West. Niall Sharpe, Jack Armshaw, Niall Leahy, Eireamhoin McCarthy and Brendan Quinlan scored Clanwilliam’s tries. Leahy converted all five tries and also added a penalty. Brodie Hitchman replied with two tries for the home side and Julian Bell, Gerald Griffith ad Kealan Stephenson got one each. Shane Airey kicked one conversion.

Waterpark maintained their lead at the top of Division 2 after their 35-24 home win over third placed Ennis. Ben Daly, Mick Hayes, Scott Nolan and Jack Mackey scored tries for Waterpark. Daly kicked three conversions and a penalty, Hayes a drop goal and Dermot Lannon a penalty. Ennis had two tries from Callum Barrett and one by Matty McNamara. Shane Punch converted all three tries along with a penalty.

Crosshaven remain in second place two points behind the leaders after their 41-13 away win at Carrick-on-Suir. Anthony Sheehan, Sa’id Koya, Kealan Daly, Harry O’Connell, Liam Cotter, Niall Deane and Jack O’Connell were Crosshaven try scorers. Jack O’Connell kicked three conversions. Fionn Barry replied with a try, conversion and two penalties for Carrick’.

Kinsale got back to winning ways with a 34-15 home win against Fethard. David Looney scored three tries for Kinsale, and Evan Lehane, Erhan Farley and Dan Graham got one each. Robin O’Flynn kicked two conversions. Will Ruttle replied with two tries for Fethard and Sean Prendergast got one.

St. Senan’s edged out Charleville at the North Cork venue with an 18-16 victory. Brian Collins and Calum Twomey scored tries for Senan’s and Declan Rowe kicked two penalties and a conversion. Jessie Smith replied with a try Charleville and Kian Smith converted and added three penalties.

Youghal had a convincing 36-3 away victory at Abbeyfeale. Pa O’Shea, Kelvin Yellop, Darragh Coleman and Ben Ingamells scored tries for Youghal, and O’Halloran kicked four conversions and a penalty. Jack O’Sullivan replied with a penalty for Abbeyfeale.

Ballincollig travelled to Castleisland and came away with the spoils on a 42-17 scoreline. Pierre Raynaud scored two tries for the visitors and Diarmuid Phelan, Louis Herdman, Ryan Watson, Gearoid O’Brien and Sean McLoughlin got one each. Adam Dodd kicked four conversions. Dylan Perkins, Adam Jensen and Thomas Conway replied with tries for the Kerry side and Joe Sheehy added a conversion.

Fermoy had their first win of the campaign with a 16-13 home win against Cobh Pirates. Darragh Carroll scored Fermoy’s try and Eoin Lacey converted and added three penalties. Ben Kennedy replied with a try for the Pirates and Mike White converted and kicked two penalties.

Killarney made it four bonus point wins from four, when they recorded a 39-17 away win at Dungarvan, Finn Kennelly, Paul O’Sullivan and Tómas Clifford each scored two tries for the Kerry side and Ciarna O’Brien kicked three conversions and a penalty. Tom Crotty, Peter Phelan and Louis McGrath replied with tries for Dungarvan and Phelan kicked a conversion.

Douglas lost their unbeaten record, when they lost at home to Corca Dhuibhne 20-14. Nicky Moriarty and Tip Delaney were the Kerry Gaeltacht side’s try scorers and Seamus Ó Muircheartaigh kicked two conversions and two penalties. Tom Roche and Cian Twomey replied with tries for Douglas and Patrick Carey converted both.

Scariff got back to winning ways with a 19-5 home win against Galbally-Mitchelstown. Martin Daly and Mark Walsh scored tries for Scariff, who were also awarded a penalty try. Alex Boblea kicked a conversion. Michael O’Dwyer replied with a try Galbally-Mitchelstown.

Four games were postponed: in Division 1 Richmond v St. Mary’s, and Sunday’s Well v Skibbereen and Bantry Bay v Killorglin and Tralee v Waterford City in Division 3.
