Action resumes this weekend in the Women’s All-Ireland League, following a two-week break, along with the Men’s Munster Junior League that features a full series of games across all three divisions.
Defending champions UL Bohemian, who are second, are looking to maintain their unbeaten run, as they entertain Cooke. The Limerick side claimed all points on offer last time out, as they put up 77 points without reply against Ennis in the Banner County. Cooke go into the tie on the back of a heavy 43-0 home defeat by leaders Galwegains.
Ennis will have their work cut out as they travel to Galway to take on unbeaten leaders Galwegians at Crowley Park. The Clare side go into the tie on the back of a heavy 77-0 home defeat by UL Bohemian. The Galway side claimed maximum points from their last game as they defeated Cooke 43-0 in Belfast.
Ballincollig take on last year’s runners-up Railway Union at Tanner Park. The Mid Cork side were defeated 60-14 by Blackrock College in Dublin last time out. Railway Union recorded their first win of the campaign in their last game, as they ran out 99-7 home winners over Tullow.
Munster Junior League Division 1 leaders Sunday’s Well entertain Skibbereen who are one point clear of the drop zone, at Virgin Media Park. Sunday’s Well kept their unbeaten run intact, following their 20-20 draw with Kilfeacle in West Tipperary. They also claimed a bonus point, as they scored four tries, which leaves them ahead of Kilfeacle by a single point. Skibbereen were defeated 15-11 at home by St Mary’s, where they claimed a losing bonus point.
Kilfeacle, who share second place with Clonakilty on 16 points, travel to Rathcooney to take on Old Christians. Kilfeacle will be looking to maintain their unbeaten run, as they were held to a 20-20 draw by Sunday’s Well at home last time out. Old Christians go into the tie on the back of a narrow 21-19 defeat by Bandon in West Cork.
Clonakilty, who are third with Kilfeacle, travel to the Premier County, to meet Thurles. Clonakilty claimed maximum points from their last game, which they won 39-17 at home against Newcastle West. Thurles claimed a losing bonus point from their 19-12 home defeat by Richmond.
Third-placed Mallow lock horns with Muskerry, who are tied with Clanwilliam on three points at the foot of the table. Mallow go into the tie on the back of a 24-19 bonus point win over Clanwilliam in Tipperary Town. Muskerry finished their 12-7 home defeat by Kanturk with a losing bonus point.
Kanturk, who share fourth place with St Mary’s, welcome Bandon to Duhallow. Kanturk recorded a 12-7 away win over Muskerry last time out. Bandon recorded narrow 21-19 home victory over Old Christians in their last game.
There is a Limerick City derby at Canal Bank as Richmond go head t head with St Mary’s. Both sides go into the tie on the back of away victories. Richmond defeated Thurles 19-12 in the Premier County, while St Mary’s ran out 15-11 winners over Skibbereen in West Cork.
Newcastle West entertain Clanwilliam, who are still seeking their first win of the campaign. The West Limerick side go into the tie on the back of a 39-17 away defeat by Clonakilty. Clanwilliam were defeated 24-19 by Mallow in Tipperary Town, but claimed a losing bonus point.
Waterpark, who are unbeaten leaders in Division 2 with maximum points from their games to date, welcome Ennis, who share fourth place with Youghal, to Ballinakill. The Suirsiders ran out 32-24 away winners over Cobh Pirates last time out. The Clare side also claimed maximum points from their last game, where they defeated Abbeyfeale 43-14 in the Banner County.
Crosshaven, who are also unbeaten in second place, are way to Carrick-on-Suir. The Seasiders go into the tie on the back of a 21-7 home win over Kinsale in a South Cork derby. Carrick-on-Suir were defeated 35-34 by Youghal in East Cork in their last game, where they claimed two bonus points, as they scored four tries.
Third-placed Kinsale will be looking to get back to winning ways, as they welcome bottom side Fethard to South Cork. Kinsale surrendered their unbeaten run in their last game, which they lost 21-7 away to Crosshaven. The South Tipperary side claimed their only point to date from their 38-24 home defeat to Ballincollig, where they scored four tries in a ten-try thriller.
Charleville host St Senan’s at Smith’s Road. Charleville claimed all points on offer from their last game, which they won 28-15 at home against Castleisland. St Senan’s were held to a 17-17 draw at home by Fermoy.
Youghal, who share fourth place with Ennis, travel to West Limerick, to take on Abbeyfeale. Youghal claimed maximum points from their last game, which they won 35-34 against Carrick-on-Suir in East Cork. Abbeyfeale are propping up the table with Fethard on a single point. The West Limerick side lost their last game, 43-14 away to Ennis.
Ballincollig travel to the Kingdom to take on Castleisland. The Mild Cork side claimed all points on offer from their 38-24 away victory over Fethard, which produced ten tries. Castleisland go into the tie on the back of a 28-15 defeat by Charleville in North Cork.
Fermoy, who are hovering above the drop zone, entertain Cobh Pirates as they go in search of their first win of the campaign. Fermoy drew for the second time in their last game, which finished 17-17 against St Senan’s in the Banner County. The Pirates go into the tie on the back of a 32-24 home defeat by Waterpark.
Killarney, who are unbeaten leaders in Division 3 with maximum points from their games to date, are away Dungarvan. Killarney ran out 39-24 bonus point home winners over Scariff in a ten-try thriller last time out. Dungarvan were narrowly defeated 14-12 by Killorglin in Mid Kerry, which saw them return with a losing bonus point.
Douglas are also unbeaten and are joint-second with Tralee. They welcome Corca Dhuibhne to Castletreasure. Douglas won their last game, 17-7 against Waterford City on Suirside. Corca Dhuibhne recorded their first win of the campaign in their last game, where they defeated Bantry Bay 12-11 in Tralee.
Tralee entertain Waterford City. The Kerry side recorded bonus point 44-12 victory over Galbally-Mitchelstown in County Limerick. Waterford City go into the tie on the back of a 17-7 home defeat by Douglas.
Scariff will be looking to get back to winning ways, as they host Galbally-Mitchelstown in East Clare. Both sides go into tie on the back of defeats by Kerry opposition. Scariff surrendered their unbeaten run, losing 39-24 away to Killarney in a ten-try thriller. Galbally-Mitchelstown lost 44-12 at home to Tralee.
Bantry Bay go head to head with Killorglin in West Cork. Bantry Bay are the only side without a win and they claimed a losing bonus point from their narrow 12-11 defeat by Chorca Dhuibhne in Tralee. Killorglin recorded their first win last time out as they defeated Dungarvan 14-12 in the Kingdom.
The Munster Women’s League also continues this weekend.
Unbeaten leaders Shannon travel to Leeside to take on Dolphin in Division 1 at Virgin Media Park. The Limerick side claimed all points on offer from their last game, which they won 29-17 over Tralee in the Kingdom. Dolphin go into the tie on the back of a 40-24 home win over Bruff in a ten-try thriller at Virgin Media Park.
Clonakilty host bottom side Tralee at the Vale. Clonakilty go into the tie on the back of a 15-5 home win over Bruff. Tralee are seeking their first win as they were defeated 29-17 at home by Shannon.
In Division 2, Mallow welcome Thurles to North Cork. Mallow put up 54 points against Roaring Water Bay last time out. The Premier County side go into the tie on the back of a 58-5 home defeat by UL Bohemian.
Roaring Water Bay go head to head with Ballincollig in Bantry. The West Cork side were defeated 54-0 by Mallow in North Cork. Ballincollig go into the tie on the back of a 46-14 away win over Midleton.
UL Bohemian host Midleton at Annacotty. UL Bohemian recorded a comprehensive 58-5 bonus point victory over Thurles in the Premier County. Midleton were defeated 46-14 by Ballincollig in East Cork.
