Over a relatively quiet weekend, with most Clubs taking a break before the commencement of the Leagues at Senior and Junior levels next week, the Transfield Cup final is down for decision in North Munster, together with three finals in Kerry. There is also one semi-final outstanding in the O’Neill Cup in South Munster. In women’s rugby Bruff kick off their first ever season of Division One rugby as they face Dolphin.

In North Munster, Garryowen and St Mary’s go head to head in the Transfield Cup decider at Dooradoyle. Garryowen are looking to bridge a 20-year gap, as their last triumph was in the 2005/06 season, while St Mary’s last won the trophy in 2013/14.

There are three finals down for decision in the Kingdom.

Castleisland go head to head with near neighbours Killarney in the McElligott Cup decider.

Tralee entertain Abbeyfeale in the Galwey-Foley Cup final and Killorglin host Corca Dhuibhne in the McGillycudy Cup decider.

In South Munster, Crosshaven lock horns with South Cork neighbours Kinsale at the second time of asking in the semi-finals of the O’Neill Cup, at Myrtleville Cross. The winners will meet Youghal in the decider.

In the only women’s fixture this weekend Dolphin will make the trip to Kilballyowen Park to take on newly promoted side Bruff in the opening round of the Division One Cup.
