The Bank of Ireland Munster Senior Cup continues this weekend and the quarter finals of the Cyril Fitzgerald Munster Senior Plate are also down for decision.

Locally, there is also action in North Munster, South Munster, Tipperary and Kerry.

In the Bank of Ireland Munster Senior Cup, Midleton, whose only appearance in a decider was in 2003, welcome Shannon to East Cork. The 2003 final was also won by Shannon. The winners will be rewarded with a home semi-final against holders Nenagh Ormond, or Cork Constitution, who go head to head in North Tipperary.

UCC, who received a bye into the quarter finals, entertain Garryowen at the Mardyke. The Students last won the trophy in 1981, while Garryowen’s last triumph was in 2024. The winners will have a home semi-final against Highfield or Young Munster, who meet at Woodleigh Park.

The quarter finals of the Cyril Fitzgerald Plate are also down for decision on Saturday. Clonmel lock horns with Cashel, who won the trophy in the 2015/16 season, at the South Tipperary venue. The winners will be at home to UL Bohemian or Bruff, who meet at Annacotty.

Old Crescent welcome Dolphin to Takumi Park. The winners will be at home to Thomond, who have received a bye into the semi-finals.

On Sunday in North Munster, Garryowen lock horns with Shannon in the semi-finals of the Transfield Cup, at Dooradoyle. The winners will take on Old Crescent or St Mary’s, who meet at Takumi Park, in the decider.

In South Munster on Sunday, Cork County Cup holders Mallow continue their defence of the trophy with an away semi-final against Old Christians, whose last triumph was in the 2010/11 season. The winners will take on Bandon or Skibbereen, who lock horns in a West Cork derby at Old Chapel, in the decider.

Crosshaven go head to head with Kinsale in the semi-finals of the O’Neill Cup at Myrtleville Cross. The winners will take on Youghal or Ballincollig, who meet at the East Cork venue, in the decider.

In Tipperary, Fethard entertain Kilfeacle in the first semi-final of the Garryowen Cup on Saturday. The winners will meet Thurles or Cashel in the decider.

The first semi-final of the Mansergh Cup sees Clanwilliam making the relatively short trip to County Limerick to take on Galbally-Mitchelstown on Sunday. The winners will meet Clonmel or Carrick-on-Suir in the decider.

There are two McElligott Cup ties down for decision in the Kingdom.

On Friday evening, Castleisland lock horns with Tralee in the McElligott Cup. A place in the final awaits the winners, while the losers will contest the Galwey-Foley Cup decider.

Killorglin host near neighbours Killarney on Sunday, with the winners advancing to the decider.
