Weekend Preview

The Ulster Bank All Ireland League continues with a full program of games across all five divisions.

In Division 1A, promoted Garryowen who are third will be aiming to preserve their unbeaten run as they entertain struggling Cork Constitution at Dooradoyle.
Young Munster face a tricky task as they travel to the Capital to take on fourth-placed UCD at the Belfield Bowl.

Dolphin, who are propping up the table in Division 1B face a tricky task as they travel to Limerick to take on UL Bohemian at Thomond Park.
Shannon, who are second from bottom, will have their work cut out as they travel to Dublin to take on fifth-placed St Mary’s College at Templeville Road.

Nenagh Ormond begin their campaign in Division 2A face a tricky task as they entertain leaders Queen’s University at New Ormond Park.
UCC travel to County Kildare to take on third-placed Naas and fifth-placed Cashel are away to Skerries.
Thomond will be looking to make the most of home advantage count as they aim to make life difficult for second-placed Banbridge in a bid to record their first win of the campaign and add to the losing bonus point claimed form the opening day defeat by Cashel.

Highfield, who are fourth in Division 2B make the long trip north to take on sixth-placed City of Armagh at the Palace Grounds.
Sunday’s Well, who are propping up the table will have their work cut out as they welcome leaders City of Derry to Irish Independent Park.

In Division 2C, fifth-placed Kanturk and third-placed Old Crescent go head to head at the Duhallow venue and Midleton, who are fourth lock horns with leaders Wanderers at Towns Park.
Second-placed Bruff travel to the Royal County to take on sixth-placed Navan.

The Munster Junior League gets underway with games in each of the top two divisions.

Holders Clonmel will be aiming to begin the defence of their title with a win as they entertain Galbally at the South Tipperary venue.
Newcastle West will also be aiming to mount a title challenge as they take on a St Mary’s side in transition at Grove Island.
Richmond begin life back in Junior ranks following their relegation form the AIL with a home tie against Muskerry.
Bandon, who were runaway leaders in Division 2 open their account with a West Cork derby against Skibbereen at Old Chapel and fellow promoted side Clanwilliam take on Waterpark in Tipperary Town.
In other ties, Kilfeacle welcome Clonakilty to the Premier County and Old Christians take on St Senan’s at Rathcooney.

Cobh Pirates, who were relegated last season face a tough opener in Division 2 against a Thurles side, who missed out on a return to the top flight at the Paddocks.
Last season’s runaway leaders in Division 3 Dungarvan begin their stint in the second tier with a home tie against relegated Kinsale.
Promoted Charleville are at home to Ennis and relegated Tralee are away to Ballincollig.
In other ties Mallow begin their quest for a return the top flight at the second time of asking against Presentation at Rathuard and Newport are at home to Waterford City.

The O’Neill Cup continues with Youghal taking on Crosshaven in a quarter final at the East Cork venue and the winners will have a home tie in the semi finals against Mallow or Kinsale.

The second semi final of the Dennehy Cup sees Cork Constitution taking on Midleton at Temple Hill for a place in the decider against Highfield, who are the holders.

The Muskerry Cup decider sees holders Mitchelstown taking on Ballincollig at Ballyanly and the North Cork side will be aiming to claim their third title in four years.
