Tag Rugby Takes Off At GCL

Students celebrate winning the Tag Rugby event

Gaelcholaiste Luimnigh (GCL) recently took part in a successful mixed tag rugby event in Limerick with over 150 Leaving Cert and fifth year students developing their skills.

The annual event offered students from the traditionally non-rugby playing school an opportunity to engage with the game in a fun and competitive environment.

A small number of students from GCL currently play with local rugby clubs in Limerick, Tipperary and Clare, and it is expected that many more will take up the game with a club when the new season begins.
