It has been another busy summer for the Munster Rugby Development Department with a number of activities for all ages taking place across the province.

HelloFresh were the sponsors of this year’s Munster Rugby Summer Camps. 24 locations throughout Munster played host to the camps with 1693 players in attendance throughout the eight weeks.

This year’s Inclusion Camp took place in Clonakilty RFC with 13 children taking part. They had a fantastic day where they played a number of games and had a visit from Clonakilty’s own John Hodnett and Sean Edogbo.

It was another successful season for the Munster Rugby Excellence Camps and School of Excellence.

This year saw the Munster Rugby Excellence Camps travel to six locations across the province. There were 211 players attending the camps this year with 184 boys taking part and 27 girls.

The Munster Rugby School of Excellence returned once again this summer. Four residential camps took place throughout July with three boys camps taking place in Rockwell College and one girls camp taking place in Bandon Grammar.

473 players took part in these camps with 344 attending the boys edition while 129 attended the girls.

This brought the total of players who attended any Munster ran summer initiatives to 2377.

There was also success for Munster in the 2025 Summer Interprovincial Championships at both age-grade and senior level.

In age-grade a total number of 119 players were picked for four different grades, U19, U18 Girls, U18 Boys Clubs and U18 Boys Schools.

Aiden McNulty selected 34 players for his U19 Men’s panel.

Gerry Casey chose 30 players for his U18 Clubs side while Sean Cronin also had a 34 player strong squad for his U18 Schools team.

Damien Hicks called up 31 players to his U18 Girls side who finished third in the championship.

The Munster Women’s side were declared winners of this year’s Vodafone Women’s Interprovincial Championships as they defeated Leinster in the final 50-15.

This season saw Matt Brown select a panel of 43 for the championship. This saw the inclusion of a number of development players allowing them to gain the experience of working with the squad to bring them forward in their rugby careers.
