The Pinergy Munster Schools Senior Cup season culminates in a spectacular pair of finals this March, promising historic milestones and renewed rivalries.
At Virgin Media Park, both rising newcomers and legacy chasers are ready for two captivating encounters, each determined to ‘Own the Moment’ and define the 2026 Schools Cup season.
The Pinergy Munster Boys Senior Cup final, set for Wednesday, March 18th at Virgin Media Park, will see St. Munchin’s College and Presentation Brothers College (PBC) face off in a clash brimming with history and compelling narratives.
For St. Munchin’s, making their first final appearance since 2012, the Limerick school is chasing a cup victory on the 20th anniversary of their last title in 2006, a win against PBC famously sealed by a try from Munster and Ireland legend, Keith Earls.
PBC, having narrowly missed a historic three-in-a-row last season against rivals Christian Brothers College (CBC), now aim to reclaim top spot on the all-time cup wins list, with a victory securing their momentous 33rd Senior Cup title.
In the Pinergy Munster Schools Girls Senior Cup final, which is set for Tuesday, March 24th at Virgin Media Park, Sacred Heart Clonakilty will look to make history by becoming the first team to win three Senior Cups, taking on Coláiste Pobail Bheanntraí, who make a historic debut in their first-ever final.
