With the Munster Junior League taking a two week break until November, only two sides remain unbeaten in Division 1 and three sides in Division 2.

Kilfeacle and Sunday’s Well are top of the table in Division 1 on fourteen points and these sides meet in the next round of games at the Tipperary venue.

Kilfeacle ended St. Mary’s great start with a 25-17 win at MultiFlow Park. Jamie Heuston and Ben Farreley scored tries for Kilfeacle and Luke Heuston added five penalties. James O’Brien and Devlin Price replied with tries for the Saints and Adam Guerin converted both and also added a penalty.

A strong finish by Sunday’s Well, saw them defeat Bandon 21-13 at Virgin Media Park. Scott Kingston gave Bandon an early lead with a try which Hugh O’Mahony converted. The ‘Well levelled on the stroke of half time with a try by Reece Mintern and Jazz Pendejito converted. Three penalties from Pendejito and an Alex Lane try saw the home side take the spoils as Bandon’s only reply were two penalties from O’Mahony.

Mallow put a halt to Clonakilty’s bright opening with a 26-19 home win. Dylan Walsh scored three tries for the winners and Sam Glynn got one. Riley Harrison kicked three conversions. Clon’ replied with two tries from John Beamish and one by Gus Aversa. Niall Barrett and Rob Howick each added a conversion.

Kanturk maintained their challenge with a 33-5 home win against Clanwilliam. Bryan O’Sullivan scored two tries for Kanturk and Brian O’Sullivan and Dylan O’Connor got one each. They were also awarded a penalty try and Paul O’Keeffe kicked three conversions. Mattie Kavanagh replied with a try for Clanwilliam.

Old Christians won an eleven try thriller at Rathcooney with a 40-33 win against Muskerry. Ivann Tripp (2), Cian Walsh, Niall McCarthy, Lazio Rabatin and Dave Ahern were the winners try scorers, and Sammy Haberlin kicked five conversions. Frankie Horgan replied with two tries for Muskerry and Liam Donovan, Shane O’Riordan and George O’Mahony got one each. Rob Cahill kicked four conversions.

Thurles picked up maximum points from their trip to Newcastle West with a 29-27 victory. Sonny Dwyer scored two tries, and Tom McNamara and Jason Theron got one each for the Tipperary side. James Maher kicked three conversions and a penalty. Aaron Rice and James Guina scored two tries each for the home side. Shane Airey kicked two conversions and a penalty.

Richmond recorded their first League win of the season, with a 29-17 win against Skibbereen at the Canal Bank. The home side who led 22-5 at the interval had tries from James Reeves, Tom McMahon, David Clancy and Paul O’Shea. Shane Purcell kicked three conversions and a penalty. Adam Sheehan, Rawiri Wereta and David Shannon replied with tries for Skibb’ and Daire Kingston added one conversion.

Kinsale and Waterpark are top of Division 2, following three bonus point wins.

Kinsale defeated Youghal 39-17 with two tries from Paul Graham and David Looney, Erman Farley, Robin O’Flynn, Briand O’Donnell and Dan Graham got one each. Dylan Lacey and Sean Kingston each kicked a conversion. Aaron Creamer and Kelvin Yellop replied with tries for Youghal and Nathan O’Halloran kicked a conversion and a penalty.

Waterpark defeated St. Senan’s 44-20 in a top of the table clash at Ballinakill. Michael Hayes, Mark Hayes, Evan Byrne, Peter Traynor, Ben Daly and Jack Mackey scored tries for Waterpark and Daly kicked four conversions and two penalties. Senan’s replied with tries from Jamie McNamara and Brian Collins. Deckie Rowe kicked two conversions and two penalties.

Crosshaven are just a point behind the leaders, after their 29-13 away win at Ballincollig. Eoin Dalton scored two tries for the winners and Niall Deane, Kealan Daly and Ronan O’Donoghue got one each. Daly kicked two conversions. Ballincollig replied with a try by Matt Burke and Adam Dodd kicked a conversion and two penalties.

A last minute try by Brendan Keane, converted by Dylan Kenny earned Ennis a dramatic 21-14 win away at Carrick-on-Suir. Jack Dillon scored Ennis’ other try and Kenny kicked three penalties. Carrick’ replied with a try by Niall Moriarty and Fionn Barry kicked three penalties.

Charleville kept in the hunt for promotion with a 22-18 away win at Fermoy. Jack Buckley, Zack Biggane and Jessie Smith were Charleville’s try scorers, and Kian Smith kicked two conversions and a penalty. Darragh Caroll and Dan Ryan replied with tries for Fermoy and Eoin Lacey kicked two penalties and a conversion.

Castleisland defeated Fethard 54-21. Donnacha McSweeney scored two of Castleisland’s eight tries, with Sean Nolan, Joe Sheehy, Kevin Lenihan, Matthew Horgan, Dean Bradley Cronin and Shane Brosnan being the other try scorers. Sheehy kicked six conversions and McSweeney one. Robert Wall, Will Ruttle and Andrew Wall replied with tries for Fethard and all three were converted by Paddy Gaynor.

Cobh Pirates picked up their first win with a 43-17 away win at Abbeyfeale. Killian O’Connell and Cian Aherne each scored two tries for the Pirates. And Cian McNamara and Rory Pierce got one each. Mike White kicked five conversions and a penalty. Jack O’Sullivan, Conor Donegan and Cody Greaney replied with tries for Abbeyfeale and O’Sullivan added one conversion.

Killarney won a thrilling derby encounter with Tralee 34-33, in a game that produced ten tries. Tom Chambers, Donnchadh Grealy, Tommy Clifford, Matt McAuliffe and Paul O’Sullivan scored tries for Killarney. Ciaran O’Brien kicked two conversions and a penalty, and Clifford also added a conversion. Tralee replied with tries from Fionn de Quadros, Sean Thompson, Dylan Corcoran and Liam Gannon. They were also awarded a penalty try. Stephen Turner kicked three conversions.

Scariff also have maximum points from their two games, following their 50-14 home win against Killorglin. Cian Foley scored three of their eight tries. Mark Walsh, Donal Moloney, Darragh Tracey, Evan Wood and Robert Sherlock were the other try scorers, Alex Boblea converted five of the tries.

Douglas are in third place after their 25-12 away win against Bantry Bay. Tim Roche scored three tries for Douglas and Marc Byrne got two. Patrick Carey kicked a penalty and a conversion. Shane O’Sullivan replied with two tries and a conversion for the home side.

Dungarvan got their first win with a 25-21 home win against Corca Dhuibhne. Brendan Cullinane, Lar Houlihan, Dave Hickey and Alan McMahon scored tries for the Waterford side. Peter Phelan kicked a penalty and Hickey a conversion. Nicky Moriarty, Donnacha Brosnan and Sean Hanafin replied with tries for the Gaeltacht side. Seamus Ó Muircheartaigh converted all three tries.

Galbally-Mitchelstown defeated Waterford City 28-21 with tries from Jack Donovan, Jack Norris, Evan Dunne and Oisin Walsh. Graham Bourke converted all four tries. Mikey O’Connor and Dany Kelly replied with tries for Waterford City and both were converted by O’Connor. Waterford were also awarded a penalty try.
