Pairings Confirmed For Pinergy Munster Schools Boys Senior Cup Quarter Finals

The pairings have been confirmed for the upcoming Pinergy Munster Schools Boys Senior Cup Quarter Finals.

Bandon Grammar School will face Castletroy College in the first Quarter Final pairing.

Bandon booked their spot in the Quarter Finals after being defeated by Cork’s Presentation Brothers College 41-5 in the Semi Final Qualifier in Virgin Media Park last week.

Castletroy College kicked off their knockout stages by defeating fellow Limerick side Ardscoil Rís in the opening round with a final score of 21-33.

They then went on to stage the mother of all comebacks, beating Rockwell College by just three points in their Quarter Final Eliminator which ended 19-22.

The sides will meet in Virgin Media Park on Tuesday, February 10th, with the kick off time to be confirmed shortly.

Crescent College Comprehensive will lock horns with last year’s champions Christian Brothers College in the second Quarter Final of the week.

Crescent had to work for their Quarter Final spot as they finished their original Semi Final Qualifier fixture all square at 19 points a piece.

The replay saw St. Munchins take the victory in the end after an end-to-end clash in Fitzgerald Park.

CBC saw their way into the Quarter Final after defeating Glenstal Abbey in their Quarter Final Eliminator by a single point in less than ideal conditions in Virgin Media Park.

The second Quarter Final will kick off in Thomond Park on Wednesday February 11th at 2:15pm.
