Munster Underage Stars Chase Titles

All four Munster underage sides are in with a chance of claiming the Interpro title over the next two weekends.

This weekend's Interprovincial fixtures

Tonight (Friday)
Munster Combined U20 & Development Squad
Leinster v Munster, Donnybrook, 7pm

Tomorrow (Saturday)
Munster U18 Clubs

Connacht v Munster, Sportsground, 2.30pm

Munster U19s
Leinster v Munster, Anglesea Road, 3pm

The Munster U20/Development side face Leinster in a series decider in Donnybrook tonight (Friday, 7pm).

With Connacht not taking part in the competition and as both clubs defeated Ulster in their opening games, the winners tomorrow night will take the title.

Head Coach Colm McMahon announced his team for the clash earlier this week, check out the starting line-up here.

At U18 Clubs level, Munster and Connacht have won both of their ties so it will be a winner-takes-all affair at the Sportsground tomorrow (Saturday, 2.30pm).

The Munster U18 Clubs side made an excellent start to their campaign as they emerged with a 19-14 win away in Ulster despite trailing 14-3 at half-time.

That victory was followed by a first win over Leinster at this level in eight years last weekend in Thomond Park.

Head Coach Brendan O'Connor named his team yesterday and you can view that here.

The Munster U19s are also in action against Leinster over the weekend as they take to the field at Anglesea Road at 3pm tomorrow (Saturday).

The U19s lost 15-13 to Ulster last weekend in the only defeat for any of Munster’s four representative sides so far this season.

However, they did beat Connacht 35-0 in their opening game and can still take the title if they beat Leinster and Ulster lose against Connacht with the title then going down to points' difference.

You can view their squad, named by Head Coach Noel O'Meara yesterday, here.

Next weekend, the Munster U18 Schools side are aiming for a clean sweep as they travel to Leinster for their fourth and final game on Saturday, September 24.
