Munster Age-Grade Girls Clubs League Semi Final Preview

Age-grade League action continues this weekend as the Semi Finals of the Munster Girls Clubs League kick off.

In the girls U14 league Quarter Finals, Shannon overcame Ballincollig 33-47 in Tanner Park to book their spot in the Semi Final. They will now face Fethard and District, who were 35-26 winners over Cobh-Kinsale-Muskerry, in Coonagh on January 24th at 1pm.

Garryowen-Richmond conceded their game against Skibbereen-Bantry Bay which sets the West Cork side up to face Limerick rivals Old Crescent in the second of the Semi Finals.

In the final Quarter Final match up Old Crescent faced Clonakilty in Takumi Park. It was the Treaty side’s day as they came away with the win with a final score of 37-7.

In the U16 Quarter Finals Fethard and District kicked off proceedings by overcoming Skibbereen-Bantry Bay 31-14 in Fethard Town Park.
Clonakilty booked their spot in the Semi Finals by beating Garryowen-Ballina-Killaloe 33-3 in The Vale to set up their meeting with Fethard and District.

The Tipp natives will lock horns with the West Cork side in Fethard Town Park on Saturday January 24th at 1pm.

The second Semi Final will see Dolphin, who ran out winners against Kinsale-Muskerry, face Richmond-Scariff, who held Dungarvan-Waterpark scoreless with a final tally of 31-0.

The second Semi Final will also kick off on January 24th at 1pm.

In the U18 Quarter Finals, Shannon saw themselves into the first Semi Final pairing as they narrowly beat Dolphin Mallow 38-31 in Coonagh.

They will now face Clonakilty, who overcame Clonmel-Carrick-on-Suir 32-0, in Coonagh on January 24th at 1pm.

The second Semi Final will see Killarney-Iveragh-Killorglin-Listowel face Garryowen after the Kerry side defeated Richmond-Scariff 26-27 in an end -to-end battle.

Garryowen earned their spot in the Semi finals as they defeated Waterpark 41-47

The second Semi Final will kick off on Saturday the 24th of January at 2:15pm in Killarney RFC.
