Ireland Clubs Geared Up For Temple Hill

The Ulster Bank Club International fixture between Ireland Clubs and Scotland Clubs will take place in Temple Hill, Cork, tonight at 7.30pm.

The Ulster Bank League players were victorious on their last outing when they defeated France Fédérale 16-12 in Paris last month.

Clontarf centre Matt D'Arcy will captain the side for the fourth time. He again forms a centre partnership with UCD's Stephen Murphy.

The back three is made up of Old Belvedere full back Danny Riordan, with Mark Roche of Lansdowne and James McInerney of Garryowen on the wings.

Lansdowne's Scott Deasy, who kicked 11 points in that victory in France, resumes his role at out-half and is partnered by scrum-half Neil Cronin of Garryowen.

In the pack, Ian Prendiville of Lansdowne is joined by Cork Con's Max Abbott and Ger Sweeney in the front row.

St. Mary's player Ciaran Ruddock, brother of full international Rhys packs down with Lansdowne's Philip Donnellan in the second row.

Charlie Butterworth (Lansdowne), Paul Pritchard (Ballynahinch) and Tony Ryan (Clontarf) will make up the back row.

The substitutes are provided from five clubs – Old Belvedere's Eddie Rossiter and Declan Lavery will cover hooker and prop and Brian McGovern of St. Mary's is the second prop on the bench. Ballymena's Connor Smyth covers second-row and Rodger McBurney covers the outside backs. Dublin University provide half-back cover through Angus Llyod and Jack McDermott. John Fitzgerald of Dolphin is the back-rower on the bench.

Tickets are available at the gate and are priced at €;10 for adults and €;5 for children.
