Draw Made For Bank Of Ireland Munster Senior Challenge Cup Quarter Finals

After a cracking opening round of action, the draw has now been made for the Bank Of Ireland Munster Senior Challenge Cup quarter finals.

University College Cork will play out their first game of the competition, after receiving a bye through the first round, against Garryowen in the Maradyke this weekend. Garryowen go into this game having beaten last year’s finalists Old Crescent 15-29.

Shannon, who defeated Bruff 22-27 in Kilballyowen Park, will make the trip to Cork to face Midleton in Towns Park. The East Cork side go into the tie as 20-15 winners over Thomond.

Nenagh Ormond kicked off their title defense with a 40-17 win over UL Bohemian to set up their quarter final with Cork Constitution in New Ormond Park. Constitution will take an air of confidence into the clash with the current title holders as they had a comprehensive win over Dolphin with a score of 38-6.

Finally Young Munster, who overcame Clonmel 64-0, will make the trip to Woodleigh Park to take on Highfield who came away winners against Cashel with a score line of 12-32.

In the Munster Senior Plate Clonmel, who were held scoreless by Young Munster, will face Cashel in round one.

UL Bohemian will take on Bruff in Annacotty, while last year’s runners up Old Crescent will take on Dolphin in Takumi Park.

Thomond, who were beaten by Midleton last weekend, received a bye in the first round and will meet the winner of Old Crescent v Dolphin.
