Club Notes | Glenstal Abbey Kick Off School Year With Fun U12 Blitz Day

Glenstal Abbey, the north Limerick secondary school, hosted a successful U12s blitz day earlier this month.

The blitz was held to not only play some fun rugby but also to show possible prospective students the school grounds and promote their upcoming open day.

The school’s open day will be held on Saturday the 27th of September starting at 10am.

There were 10 teams in attendance on the day with each team getting to play a minimum of four games.

There were three teams from UL Bohemian, two from Nenagh Ormond, two from Ennis, and one team from Bruff, Ballina-Killaloe and Galwegians.

After a fantastic day of games medals were then distributed to each of the teams by the schools mascot.

Coffee & snacks were complimentary for all adults in attendance and lunch was served to all participants afterwards in the school refectory.

Glenstal Abbey hope to host yet another blitz in the new year and would like to extend the invite to any club that may be interested.
