All Ireland League Roundup

Young Munster caused a big upset in the Men’s All Ireland League, as U.L. Bohemian continue to dominate at the top of the Women’s All Ireland League.

Following UCD’s 43-38 win over Lansdowne on Friday night in Division 1A of the All Ireland League, Young Munster dropped into the relegation places, but an impressive 29-19 away win against Terenure College, saw them move up to seventh place with their best performance of the season, They led 22-0 at half time with two tries from Shay McCarthy and one each by Luke McCready and Hubert Gilvarry, plus a conversion by Shane O’Leary. They extended their lead with a penalty try and three late tries from Terenure were not enough for the home side to get something from this contest.

Cork Constitution kept their hopes of a play-off place alive with a 21-15 home win against Old Belvedere. Danny Sheahan scored two first half tries for the Temple Hill side and Dylan Hicks converted for a 14-8 interval lead. David Good added a third and Hicks again converted.

Nenagh Ormond are still pointless following their 28-12 home defeat by Clontarf. The sides were scoreless at half time. Charlie O’Doherty and Patrick Scully scored tries for Nenagh and O’Doherty added a conversion.
