Munster U18 Boys Schools 31 – 25 Leinster U18 Boys Schools – KO 12pm
Munster U18 Boys Schools rounded off their Interpro campaign with an impressive 31-25 win over Leinster in the first match of the day.
Leinster were first to strike in the opening 10 minutes of play as winger as Josh Divilly sniped over in the corner. The wind played havoc on the conversion that followed as it drifted across the front of the posts.
Leinster were in again on the opposite wing in the 20th minute for another unconverted try as the visitors took a 0-10 lead.
However, just six minutes later Munster struck back with a try from Jack Hayes.
Leinster responded just four minutes later to put 10 points back between the sides heading into half time.
The Eastern Province went further ahead at the start of the second half when hooker Brion Donagh touched down off the back of a strong maul.
Munster hit back just minutes later with two tries from Jack Hayes and Xabi Scanlon which were both converted by Daniel Murphy.
Leinster weren’t finished as they crashed over one final time on the 63rd minute but this wasn’t enough as Munster sealed the deal and a fantastic win in the last play of the game as Najim Jagana dove over to clinch a 31-25 win.
