Age-Grade Girls Interprovincial 7s Roundup

Our girls U16 and U18 squads have been in 7s action this month as part of the Age-Grade Girls Interprovincial 7s Series in Mullingar RFC.
Our under 16s had an overall positive series of games with one team recording two wins and the second team recording one. This was the sides first foray into the game of 7s and a lot was learnt from the day.
The 16s will now return to 15s training for the remainder of the summer.
The under 18s side played over two weekends with both teams reaching the play off stages.
Munster 1 saw themselves into a play off for 3rd place and were beaten on the buzzer by a strong Connacht outfit.
While Munster 2 worked their way into a 5th place play off also falling just short against Ulster 2.
It was a tough outing for the 18s as they played in the sweltering heat but overall a positive start to the summer season.
The 18s will also now return to 15s training for the remainder of the summer as preparations continue for the forthcoming Summer Interpros.
