6 Nations Trophy On Tour

The RBS Womens 6 Nations Trophy paid a number of visits to Munster schools over the past couple of weeks.

The tour began at Colaiste Ide & Joesef Abbeyfeale and SMI Newcastle West where the girls had the opportunity to"Munster take pictures with the trophy following their recent participation in the Munster School 7’s tournament.

Next up was a trip to the Gaelcolaiste Kinsale, St Josephs Primary School Kinsale and Dundurrow National School. The students were very excited about the visit and in an open forum Women’s Community Rugby Officer Amanda Greensmith answered many excellent questions in relation to the work load and lifestyle of the players.

Finally a visit took place at Bandon Grammar Secondary School where a Girls Tag Blitz was organised to celebrate the week in anticipation of the trophy visit.

Grand Slam winner Fiona Hayes was on hand to talk to the participants about winning the trophy as well as important aspects like diet, time management and goal setting.
