The MAR is giving you the opportunity to experience the game from a whole new perspective. Put yourself right in the middle of the action and grow your understanding of the game.
Information:
Now more than ever we need more referees. You don’t need experience, we’ll give you the tools, and we’ll educate you. You’ll start you off in lower ages of underage to get used to things. All we ask is that you want to try it.
The call is open to anyone who is 18 years of age or older, as you must be a minimum of 18 to referee under the MAR.

The search for new referees is underway with the next course for new members of the Munster Association of Referees (MAR) taking place in the University of Limerick on Saturday the 25th of October.
The MAR currently has over 130 active referees with two currently working within the professional game.
Since their previous course earlier this year there are now 11 new referees across the province. Three of which are female.
With different levels of games available to ref, those who complete the course can choose to work the games they are most comfortable with.
The MAR is giving you the opportunity to experience the game from a whole new perspective. Put yourself right in the middle of the action and grow your understanding of the game.

The Munster Association Of Referees (MAR) are currently recruiting for new referees to take up the role throughout the province.
The call is open to both male and females who would like to take the general refereeing pathway.

IRFU Active Referee Pathway
IRFU Affiliate Referee Course
The IRFU Affiliate Referee Course is now available online via the IRFU’s online education platform, Gainline. The cost to complete this course is €15.

Participants must be a member of a club and/or school and be aged 18 – 59. For full details on the IRFU policy for Club and School Affiliate Referees click here.
• Accreditation of referees they appoint must be in date. Courses are held at appropriate times throughout the season.
• Appoint their best available affiliate referees.
• Ensure sending offs and other discipline matters are notified to their respective branch.
• Keep a record of appointments made.
