Munster kicked off their pre-season fixtures in La Rochelle on Friday night with the hosts running out 47-26 winners on a warm night in west France.
The Munster tries were scored by Gavin Coombes, Lee Barron and Brian Gleeson with a rolling maul also earning a penalty try.
33 players got game-time including new signings Kieran Brookes and Jack Aungier, and Academy players Gordon Wood, Conor Kennelly, Sean Edogbo, Danny Sheahan, Emmet Calvey and Tom Wood along with Young Munster back Hubert Gilvarry.
