Munster Rugby are pleased to announce an extension to our performance technology partnership with Currys for a third year.

The partnership sees the electrical giant continue to provide the club with a range of technology.

Technology provided will help assist and analyse players’ performances including DJI Drones and GoPro technology to capture training from multiple angles to review aspects of player performance.

Using quality multi-angle footage at training allows Munster Rugby to sync the footage with GPS tracking software to enable in-depth player analysis.

The partnership, which began two years ago, will see the club continue to be provided with a range of cutting-edge technology that will help to assist and analyse players’ performances across Munster Rugby.

The top-of-the-range technology provided by Currys is a vital resource for Munster Rugby’s performance staff as they help to prepare the province’s players and coaches for the season-defining moments that lie ahead. This technology includes:

The latest iMac computers & MacBooks to support the team’s coaches’ video analysis for training and Game Review as well as opposition scout prep

Large screen QNED LG TVs with the latest in display technology to provide an optimum viewing experience for in-game live review

Commenting on the partnership, Emma Murphy, Marketing Manager for Currys, said: “We are absolutely thrilled to be renewing our partnership with Munster Rugby and know that the technology we’ve been providing will continue to help to enhance the game for players all across the Academy.

“At Currys, we offer the very best in computer technology, and we are delighted to play our part in helping Munster Rugby for a further 12 months. We look forward to seeing the team perform over the upcoming season.”

“Using Apple products & Drones provided by Currys , the analysis team capture all the footage at training using Hudl Software to analyse all team and individual moments.

“In-match, the Analysis team provide instant feedback to coaches on monitors supplied by Currys to make real-time changes and increase the win potential of the team.
