Munster In The Community

Despite the current restrictions Munster players are continuing to show their support for well deserving charities and much needed services during this time.
While following all the government measures the players are supporting charity efforts within the guidelines and using their online platforms to raise awareness and funding for vital resources.
Keynan Knox, Jack Daly, Eoghan Clarke and Cian Hurley put their recovery time to good use when taking part in the recent ‘Freezbruary’ campaign in support of Pieta House. For the month of February, the quartet committed to the endurance challenge building up their time spent in the cold water of the River Shannon.
Several players joined at different stages, but it was Knox, Daly, Clarke and Hurley who showed great resilience to complete the daily challenge in support of Pieta House while raising vital funds.
Kevin O’Byrne recently linked up with with Jigsaw – The National Centre for Youth Mental Health as an advocate. O’Byrne got straight down to business by supporting the Jigsaw challenge and he too recruited his teammates when targeting the 1200km activity goal over five days.
Neil Cronin, RG Snyman, Calvin Nash and Rhys Marshall helped Kevin with a mix of activities including daily walks, runs and bike time in the gym to complete the challenge while raising awareness for Jigsaw’s essential services.
February also saw the Irish Heart Foundation lead with their Valentine’s Day campaign and Shane Daly announced his new ambassador role with the well-known charity.
