Preview

Saturday’s clash in Limerick will be Munster’s first home PRO14 game of the new season.

Last time the sides met, the Scottish capital edged the contest winning 18-16 in Cork – a result which proved pivotal in helping Edinburgh top the Conference come the end of the season.

Edinburgh lost their opening clash at home to Ospreys while Munster narrowly defeated Scarlets thanks to a long range effort from Academy out-half Ben Healy with the clock in the red.

Munster’s Matt Gallagher is set to make his PRO14 debut while prop Roman Salanoa and academy out-half Jack Crowley could also make their debuts from the bench.

With both teams ending last season on 51 points apiece in Conference B, there are vital league points up for grabs on Saturday.
